Pursuivant \Pur"sui*vant\, n. [F. poursuivant, fr. poursuivre.

1. (Heralds' College) A functionary of lower rank than a
herald, but discharging similar duties; -- called also
{pursuivant at arms}; an attendant of the heralds. Also
used figuratively.
