  • Wisconsin Westward. . . Input Appreciated!
Continue on through northeastern Wyoming, south central Montana, and then on to Yellowstone US-89 down to Salt Lake City hits a lot of high spots, and from there I-15 down to Las Vegas would take you by Bryce Canyon and Zion National Parks Turning towards home, US-93 south out of Vegas would take you over Hoover Dam to I-40 and the Grand Canyon
  • Slovenians in America
Since you want to spend 2-3 days in a number of cities along your route, I do think that adding all of the Southwest (Grand Canyon, Las Vegas, Death Valley, Yosemite, Great Salt Lake, etc to your itinerary is starting to push you towards serious overload
  • Imbrifex Books - roadtripamerica. com
Imbrifex Books publishes fiction and non-fiction books, e-books, and audiobooks that have a connection with Las Vegas and the desert Southwest
  • Amargosa to San Francisco
The route you describe is one of the most discussed on these forums and you will find lots of info using the search button LA to Vegas, across Death valley, up to Yosemite crossing the Sierra's on CA120 [Tioga pass] and onto San Fran before heading South back to LA on the PCH would be a very popular choice and you have time to do it Pushing a little more you could take in the Grand canyon
  • Road Trip out West for christmas holiday
We live near Atlanta, but were planning on flying out west, either Las Vegas, or Arizona or Utah, and then maybe going to Grand Canyon, or Bryce Canyon and the 4 corners Unfortunately, you didn't tell us how much time you have for that trip It's a little hard to suggest itineraries when we don't have that essential information
  • California to Tennessee
Albuquerque, NM (panoramic views of the world longest aerial tramways) - Monument Valley, UT - Zion Nat Park, UT - Grand Canyon, AZ - Hoover Dam, NV - Las Vegas, NV - California Ooop's just through you would probably want to do that backwards if your starting in CA!! :-) Not sure if that helps?? • Trip in and around California. . what to see?
From LA head inland and go direct the Grand canyon south rim, most tours from Vegas do not go the National Park, which is a must imo From the GC head back to Vegas and then you could drive across Death Valley NP Later in the year this is where you could head north on 395 to Tioga Pass, but as mentioned it's likely to be closed
  • San Diego to Norfolk, NE
This route would take you by the Grand Canyon (with a modest detour heading north out of Phoenix on I-17), Petrified Forest NP, El Malpais National Conservation Area, Santa Fe, and again give you the chance to experience some smaller roads on the High Plains
  • Food on the road?
I am planning a 3300 mile, 9 day loop from Bay Area to Vegas, Grand Canyon, Yellowstone, Seattle, and back Although it may be inevitable, I would like to avoid fastfood entirely on this trip Do any of you seasoned roadtrip veterans have any special recommendations for affordable, delicious mom pop places along the way? 07-18-2008, 03:47 PM
